Allison Oler, MD, FACP
Dr. Allison Oler was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Wynnewood and Malvern. Always wanting to become a doctor, she chose internal medicine because internists handle a wide range of health issues and have the opportunity to form long-term relationships with their patients. After completing her education and medical training at Penn, the University of Chicago and the University of California San Francisco, Dr. Oler and her husband returned to the Main Line in 1997 to be close to friends and family while raising their family.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Oler has worked as a primary care physician since 1997 at Penn Medicine at Radnor and then Main Line Health. At Penn Medicine she was a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, where she was in practice for 24 years.
Dr. Oler believes in a welcoming office setting, free from bias, and that continuity and consistency are the keys to providing the best care possible. She works together with her patients and their families as a team to provide evidence-based preventative medicine. Her goals as a primary care provider are to optimize health and wellness throughout adult life, to be an excellent diagnostician, and to be the home base that patients return to in order to coordinate care.
Dr. Oler shares, "The three physicians I work with are all exceptional doctors, and we love working together. Collaboration is the key to success in primary care. I appreciate the significance of being able to care for many of my patients for over 25 years".
Having raised three children who are now embarking on their own medical careers, Dr. Oler's interests outside the office now include traveling with her husband, walking her two dogs around the neighborhood with friends, and competing with her horse in local horse shows.
