Meaghan Henrici, MD
While calling the suburbs of Philadelphia home since her childhood, Dr. Meaghan Henrici is very excited to be opening Bryn Mawr Personalized Primary Care to serve this same community.
Dr. Henrici's interest in medicine began during her high school years when an immediate family member was diagnosed with a rare debilitating neurological disorder. In the years that followed, she not only gained a deep appreciation for the importance of science and medical advances, but also the complexities of the human experience during illness and the need for patient advocacy. This experience of being a first hand caregiver and family member over the years has shaped her drive to always approach patients with compassion and care, and strive to create a partnership where patients and their families feel empowered and supported while navigating their healthcare journeys.
Dr. Henrici completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Lafayette College, graduating summa cum laude, and was a member of the women's swim team. She returned to the Philadelphia area for medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine. During her final year of medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and upon graduation she was awarded her class memorial award for outstanding clinical skills and humanism in the care of medical patients. Following medical school, she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
In the years since graduating residency, Dr. Henrici initially worked as a hospitalist and subsequently as an outpatient primary care internal medicine physician at Penn Medicine in Radnor, PA and Main Line Health in King of Prussia, PA. While at Penn Medicine, Dr. Henrici was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine where she spent time teaching differential diagnosis at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and oversaw Penn Radnor’s first internal medicine residency site rotation.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Henrici focuses on providing care that is always patient centered and evidence-based, while meeting each person wherever they are in their healthcare journey to build a longitudinal partnership founded on patient education and advocacy. Ultimately, she strives to empower patients to make the best informed decisions for their individual health.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Henrici enjoys spending time with her husband, twin daughters (also expecting a newborn son at the end of 2024) and family in the local area, taking walks, baking, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams and hopefully returning to more swimming when the kids are a bit older!
